- Request for Information The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is requesting information from sources capable of providing an adenovirus vaccine. The vaccine should be for adenovirus type 4 and 7, for administering to military recruits at training activities throughout the U.S. The vaccine must be in tablet form. DSCP has annual requirements estimated at 270,000 doses. A dose consists of one tablet each of type 4 and type 7 vaccine. The type of contract contemplated is an indefinite quantity type contract. Delivery should occur at least semi-annually directly to the military training activities. The proposed DSCP acquisition will be a supply contract. DSCP will neither fund nor subsidize production facilities and no government facilities will be made available for use. It is important to note that FDA approval of an offeror’s vaccine must be obtained prior to award of any resultant contract. It is anticipated that this approval be obtained by mid 2010. Since any manufacturing source must have FDA approval prior to award of the contract, any response to this request should indicate the time period, including estimated milestones, which your firm will require to obtain approval. If your company is interested in DSCP’s proposed acquisition, please provide information regarding your firm’s capability of providing adenovirus vaccine, including FDA approvals, to the Contracting Officer by August 31, 2009.
