- Presolicitation Notice ONLY: This procurement will be 100%set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System has a requirement forlaundry transport services between the VAGCVHCS, Biloxi, MS and MichaelE. Debakey VAMC-Houston, TX and also between the VAGCVHCS Biloxi, MS andthe Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), Pensacola, FL. The SDVOSBcontractor shall furnish all their own labor (drivers) and vehicles(trucks/tractor trailers) to transport laundry to and from thefacilities mentioned above. More detail shall be provided in the actualsolicitation as to the number of trips. Simplified acquisitionprocedures under FAR 13.5 will be used and the resulting contract willbe firm fixed price. The contractor must possess all applicablelicenses, insurance, and permits required to provide the services inaccordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The NAICS codeis 484121 and the small business size standard is $25.5 million. Thisproject is set-aside for SDVOSB and as such at least 50 percent of thecost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employeesof the concern or employees of other service-disabled veteran-ownedsmall business concerns. The base period is from October 1, 2009through September 30, 2010, with one (1) one-year option period. Tobe eligible for award of a contract, vendors must be actively registeredin the CCR database (www.ccr.gov ). SDVOSB shall also be registered inVet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov ). This is a pre-solicitation notice only; itis not a request for quotation. No documents are available at thistime; however, Solicitation VA-256-09-RQ-0376 shall be available on orbefore August 21, 2009.
