- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity would like to enter into blanket purchase agreements for the purchase of various laboratory animals to be used by US Army Medical Research Materiel Command laboratories. Initial users of this agreement are: US Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) 1425 Porter Street Fort Detrick, Maryland 21702 US Army Medical Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) 3100 Ricketts Point Road Aberdeen, Maryland 21010 US Army Center for Health Promotion & Prevention Medicine (USACHPPM) 5158 Blackhawk Road Aberdeen, Maryland 21010 This agreement will be available for all US Army Medical Research Materiel Command customers. Ordering Officers will be established for each agreement and delivery points will be identified when each call order is placed. BPA MASTER YEARLY DOLLAR LIMITATION $1,000,000.00 BPA CALL LIMITATION: $25,000.00 Below is a listing of a variety of laboratory animals to be utilized in our research laboratories. These are estimated quantities based on historical purchasing information from some of our customers: Mice, All Strains 33,000 per year Rats, All Strains 1,000 per year Rabbits, All Strains 1,000 per year Guinea pigs, All Strains 3,100 per year Chickens, All Strains 50 per year Hamsters, All Strains 3,000 per year Gerbils 50 per year Cotton Rats 50 per year Some of the Rabbits provided must be Bordetella free. Each call order will specify the sex, age, weight and particular health of the animals to be purchased. This agreement will not include breeding services. All offerors may submit a proposal in accordance with the attached solicitation by providing the information requested in 52. 212-2. The Government may award more than one agreement per category of animals to promote competition and availability of adequate sources of supply. This solicitation will close on August 31, 2009 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
