Description
RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912DQ-09-T-0146. RECOVERY ARRA SCOPE OF WORK a) 1- 100 amp Circuit breaker disconnect with 3 20 amp breakers. b) 1 - Electronic Time Switch (Intermatic ET100C) for light circuit. c) 1 Electronic Time Switch (Inte rmatic ET104C) for receptacles. d) 4 Commercial grade, 4 foot, 2 lamp enclosed electronic ballast fluorescent fixtures with bug lamps. d) 2 - 20 amp 120 volt GFCI receptacle recessed on two separate shelter post. e) 1 light switch recessed on shelter post. All electric work shall be in compliance of current National Electric Code. All work must be done according to the safety rules laid out in EM 385-1-1. This is a public use area and the shelters can be reserved, the contractor will need to coordinate with the Corps of Engineers before work begins. The contractor will keep the area safe during construction. The Tuttle Creek Corps of Engineers is not responsible for the security of the worksite. The contractor shall procure and maintain insurance coverage required by state statute during the entire period of performance under this contract. This contract will be funded by money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Tuttle Creek Corps of Engineers is soliciting bids for the instillation of underground primary conduit and electrical upgrades for two shelters in the Outlet Park. The contractor will furnish all materials, labor, equipment and supplies necessary to do the job. The work must be completed by November 30, 2009. The shelter locations are shown on the enclosed map. A site visit before bids are submitted is highly recommended. This can be arranged by calling 785-539-8511. The contractor shall provide all trenching, boring, conduit, conduit installation and backfill for new underground primary electric power from the Tuttle Creek River Pond State Park, along the south side of Service Rd A (River Pond road), west into US Army Corps of Engineers Outlet Park (See attached Westar Install Primary). This work will be in compliance of Westar Energy work request # 035132. Boring is required under the following: 1)State Park Road Point 1 on the attached Install Primary drawing. 2)Collector Ditch A Point 3 on the attached Install Primary drawing. 3)Service Road A Point 5 on the attached Install Primary drawing. The work also includes an underground secondary Westar service, for park lighting (See attached Westar Install Security Lights). This work will be in compliance of Westar Energy work request # 038521. Boring is required under the following: 1)Under parking lot to pole light Point 3 on Install Security Lights drawing. 2)Under roadway to pole light Point 4 on Install Security Lights drawing. Westar will provide all materials listed in Westar work request. This work must be performed by a qualified Westar contractor. Westar contact is Jamie Smith phone #785-587-2326. The Corps of Engineers also requires lights and receptacles at picnic shelters #3 and #4. At Point 1 on the attached Install Security Lights drawing, install a pedestal mounted Westar meter and Nema 3R 120/240 volt 100 amp load center with 2 2/40 amp breakers. Install 1 PVC conduit with #6 copper conductors from 100 amp load center to shelter #3. Cut concrete on shelter foundation at end post, connect a galvanized conduit body to PVC and run up support post (Shelter photo). All pulling sweeps will be rigid metal conduit. Install 1 PVC conduit with #4 copper conductors from 100 amp load center to shelter #4. Cut concrete on shelter foundation at end post, connect a galvanized conduit body to PVC and run up support post (Shelter photo). All pulling sweeps will be rigid metal conduit. The wiring on the shelters #3 and #4 shall be similar to current electric power at other shelters in the Outlet Park (shelter photos). Lighting and electronic timers will be enclosed between trusses to prevent vandalism. Receptacles and light switch will be recessed in two separate shelter support post. At each shelter install the following: Before award is made the successful bidder must be registered with the Central Contractor Register, http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representation and Certification Application, https://orca.bpn.gov/. The successful contractor must schedule a pre-award meeting and provide a copy of insurance with Mr. Mark Krause, Inspecting Officer, 785-539-8511 X3164, before beginning work. Mr. Krause will answer any questions, check for necessary registrations, and decide if adequate equipment is available to do the job and if the contractors plan of work is good. Upon satisfactory conclusion of the job a bill may be submitted to the Tuttle Creek Corps of Engineers which will be paid within 30 days.
