- Description
- The Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center (hereafter "The VA" or"VA"), located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to releasea competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) numbered VA-528-09-RA-0228,for a project entitled "Renovate Dental Clinic" on or about the month ofOctober 2009, however NO EARLIER. The current intention of the VA isto procure these services competitively via a 100% Service-DisabledVeteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The VA intends to release this RFP with competition restrictedcompletely to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Theapplicable NAICS code will be 236220 "Commercial and InstitutionalBuilding Construction," with an applicable small business size standardof $14 Million. The estimated construction value of this project falls within the rangeof $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, performance and payment bonding will be required to respond to thisRFP once released. The VA anticipates the use of a "Lowest PriceTechnically Acceptable" evaluation method that will include both ananalysis of price and past construction performance. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the fullRFP will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitivesolicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to thisnotice until a Request for Proposal is issued and only by Request forInformation (RFI's)
