- DOING BUSINESS WITH THE GPO: Contractors wishing to do business with the GPO are referred to the GPO web site http://www.gpo.gov/vendors/index.htm, where one can register as a GPO contractor using the ‘GPO Contractor Connection' link in accordance with the furnished instructions on this page. NOTE: Prospective as well as existing GPO contractors are to note that, as of 1/1/08, all contractors seeking to do business with the GPO must first complete and thereafter maintain the accuracy of its GPO Contractor Connection registration with the following mandatory taxpayer information boxes: "EIN/TIN #" Employer Identification Number of Taxpayer Identification Number): "Subject to Backup Withholding" (See Form W-9). The GPO will withhold payment of any invoices for work completed by any contractor who fails to provide this tax data in GPO Contractor Connection. Such invoices will be declared ineligible for payment until all requirements for payment, including providing this tax data in GPO Contractor Connection, have been satisfied. GPO CONTRACT TERMS: Any contract which results from this Invitation for Bid will be subject to the applicable provisions, clauses, and supplemental specifications of GPO Contract Terms (GPO Pub. 310.2, effective 12/1/87, revised 06-01 available at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/bidopps/bidopps.action?region=chicago) and GPO Contract Terms, Quality Assurance Through Attributes (GPO Pub. 310.1, effective 5/79, revised 8/02). This is a Quality Level 2 job. Check with GPO QA. Specs are Approx. See www.gpo.gov for finial specifications. Kit Pocket Folder. QUANTITY: Kit Pocket Folder: 515,077 (includes 50 QARC and 2 inspection copies). Marketing Guidance Card: 20,600. TRIM SIZE: Kit Pocket Folder: 19-1/2 x 17" (flat) constructed and folded to 9 x 12" with 5" high inside pockets. Marketing Guidance Card: 5-1/2 x 3-1/2". STOCK: The specifications of all stock furnished must be in accordance with those listed herein or listed for the corresponding JCP Code numbers in the "Government Paper Specification Standards No. 11" dated February 1999. Kit Pocket Folder: White Coated Two Sides Cover (C2S), 12 points (Carolina or Equal). MG Card: White Index (basis weight: 110 lbs. per 500 sheets, 25-1/2 x 30-1/2"), equal to JCP Code K10. Kit Pocket Folder: Face prints 4-color process illustrations, tints/solids with reversing, and type & line matter. Top coat the face (excluding glue tab areas) with a clear, non-yellowing gloss varnish. Back prints a Pantone 286 blue halftone. Do not coat the back side. Prints 5/1 - flat. Heavy ink coverage. Follow disk, bleeds uncommon. Marketing Guidance Card: Face prints black type & line matter (1/0). No bleeds with adequate gripper margin. CONSTRUCTION: 5" high inside pockets with a very slight V-cut at seam. 3/4" pocket tab, at outside edge of each side, to be securely glued to the inside of pockets. All outer corners are squared. DIECUTTING: Die-cut 2 diagonal slits on the right inside pocket suitable for the placement of a standard business card. FOLDING: Fold constructed kit pocket folders to 9 x 12". Score on all folds with paper grain parallel to spine. Cracking on the folds will not be acceptable and may result in rejection.
