- Construction Services for Project # R630A4-08-409-02.Description:This notice is for project, "Recovery Act - HVAC Controlsreplacement," at the VA Medical Center, St. Albans Campus, 179-00 LindenBlvd. Jamaica, N.Y. 11425 This shall be a Service Disabled Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). Asaresult, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered bytheagency. The project falls under NAICS Code 236220, and has a SmallBusiness Standard of $33.5 Million. The estimated price range for thisproject is $500,000 to $1,000,000, respectively. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to:Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment asperdrawings and specifications at the VA Medical Center, St. Albans Campus,179-00 Linden Blvd. Jamaica, N.Y. 11425 This includes, Provide all necessary labor and material to replace theexisting pneumatic control system in Buildings 85/86, 87,88 and 89Provide all necessary labor and material to install new controls for theair handling units throughout the campus and interfacing with theexisting DDC system located in Building 89 Engineering Service asindicated by the drawings and specifications. Provide all necessarylabor and material to replace actuating dampers, control valves,thermostats, motor starter and motor actuators and interfacing with theexisting DDC Control System in Building 89 Engineering Service asindicated in the drawings and specifications. Provide all necessarylabor and material to install variable speed drives, motors and startersas indicated in the drawings and specifications. Provide all necessarylabor and material to install conduits and control wiring to airhandling units and exhaust fans as indicated in the drawings andspecifications. All work shall be completed in accordance with thedrawings and specifications. Other details/information is in the solicitation which shall be postedonwww.fedbizopps.gov The anticipated release date of the IFB is Sept.1,2009 and the anticipated closing date is October 1, 2009. Thebidsubmittal address and time is included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and bid submissions shall be in hardcopiesand not e-mailed or faxed. All bidders shall be registered and verifiedin the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and www.orca.bpn.govCompletiontime is (from notice to proceed) 300 calendar days for basebid.
