- RECOVERY--RECOVERY: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue Request for Quote (RFQ) number W912P5-09-T-0015 for the procurement of levee clearing and vegetative removal/disposal services at the Middlesboro Flood Protection Project (MFPP), Area 1, located in Middlesboro, Kentucky, in Bell County. RFQ W912P5-09-T-0015 is set aside for 100% small business concerns utilizing NAICS code 238910 with a small business standard size of 500 employees. From this RFQ, the Government anticipates to award one firm fixed price contract. The anticipated release date for RFQ W912P5-09-T-0015 is on or about August 14, 2009, with an anticipated closing date for quotes of August 28, 2009. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled on August 20, 2009, at 0930 Eastern Daylight Time. All offerors will meet at the Hardees Restaurant in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and a government representative will take all attendees from Hardees to the site location. All offerors interested in this site visit need to register by emailing Teresa Perkins at Teresa.J.Perkins@usace.army.mil with the name of the attendee, name of firm, and CAGE number. Registration information is due no later than 1600 on August 19, 2009. The point of contact for the site visit is David Robinson, who can be reached at (606) 573-1468. The RFQ documents for this procurement will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, where potential contractors can access these files from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov. It is, and will continue to be, all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the FBO website for any amendments, updates, or responses to questions and answers, etc., as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. Any communications regarding this procurement must be made in writing and forwarded via email or facsimile and must identify the RFQ number, company name, address, email address, phone number including area code, facsimile number and point of contact. Offerors must be successfully registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR), www.ccr.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award.
