- AMERICAN RECOVERY & REINVESTMENT ACT: DESIGN/BUILD, CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, CURRY COUNTY, CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, CLOVIS, NEW MEXICO. This acquisition was a Total Small Business Set-Aside, Low Price Technically Acceptable Request for Proposal (RFP), open to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY. Only proposals from small business concerns were accepted. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1531, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000.00. WORK CONSISTS of the design and construction of a single story 23,304 SF Child Development Center at Cannon AFB, Clovis, New. The facility shall be sized for occupancy by 158 children from infant to preschool ages and shall meet Air Force Child Development and DoD force protection standards as well as other applicable codes and standards. The project includes reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, masonry walls, standing seam metal roof, all utilities, including extension of existing communication infrastructure, fire detection/suppression, site improvements, landscaping, parking areas, access road, fenced playground areas, security requirements and exterior storage areas. Demolition of an existing obsolete 9,000 SF Child Development Center will be accomplished after beneficial occupancy of the new CDC. This project was advertised as Low Price Technically Acceptable Request for Proposal (RFP). This procurement resulted in a firm fixed price contract.
