Revised PWS for the Bead Blast Booth Industry Day Questions 1. What type of aircraft parts will be blasted in the booth? All parts 2. What direction would the door face on site one (1)? South. Answered on-site by Mr. Scarber. 3. What type of media will be used in the booth? PWS 1.1.4 II 4. Will the hopper be above ground? PWS 1.1.4 I 5. Will there be a ramp for the equipment to get into the booth or not? PWS 1.1.4 III NOTE 6. Is there to be a building built? PWS 1.1.4 VII 7. What will be the weight load on the ramp? PWS 1.1.4 III a. 8. What is the required slope of the ramp? PWS 1.1.4 III NOTE 9. How will the water run-off be routed around the structure? PWS 1.1.4 IX 10. Electricity, how will it be brought from the pole to site one (1)? PWS 1.1.4 X a. 11. Will the contractor be responsible for only compressed air? PWS VIII 1. And 2. 12. Does a crane or hoist need to be installed to remove the media off of the trailers? Media never needs to be removed from the trailers it is rolled in on the trailer and blasted. Answered on-site by Mr. Scarber. 13. How many operators need to be able to be in the booth? PWS 1.1.4 III b. 14. Is there a gauge being installed to measure the airflow across the booth? Not required at this time 15. Will there be multiple ports for air to ease in length of hose dragging by operators? PWS 1.1.4 III 16. Is there any noise reduction standards that need to be met? PWS 1.1.4 VIII 6. 17. What type of system will the air compressors need to be? PWS 1.1.4 VIII 2. 18. Is there any specifications for the hoods? PWS 1.1.4 VIII 5. 19. Is there a utility plan for each site? PWS Attachments 3 and 4 28. What is the slope gradiance? PWS 1.1.4 III NOTE 29. What is the concrete grade? PWS 1.1.4 IX 30. What is the voltage at site two (2)? 480 volts. Answered on-site by Mr Gutschow. 31. Will the utility plan be out before quotes are due? Yes 32. If power is insufficient at site two (2) is it the ktr's responsible to get sufficient power? PWS 1.1.4 VI 33. Will there be extra lighting needed at site two (2)? Not specified at this time. 34. What is the difference between the old booth you have and the new one you want built? This requirement is for a booth that is bigger and weatherproof. Answered on-site by Mr. Scarber. 35. Why have the new one by the wash rack? All parts must be washed before and after bead blasting. Answered on-site by Mr. Scarber. 36. What does weatherproof consist of? PWS 1.1.1 37.
