- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake CA intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition, a four-month extension of the period of performance to contract N68936-04-D-0034 a Time and Materials, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for contractor engineering technical services to instruct and train Navy personnel in the installation, operation and maintenance of the C-130 and P-3 aircraft for maintenance and upgrades.The object of the contractor support services is to elevate the technical skills and abilities of military personnel responsible for operation and maintenance of the systems identified, to the level of self-sufficiency. In order to perform these services, access to the technical database for the equipment in its current configuration and modification to current configurations are essential. This extension will be for 4 months beginning 01 October 2009 through 31 January, 2010. The modification will be issued to The Lockheed Martin Corporation, 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta GA 30066. The Lockheed Martin Corporation is uniquely qualified as the original equipment manufacturer and holds proprietary data rights. A follow-on contract is in process and it is anticipated that the request for proposal for the follow-on requirement will be synopsized in September 2009.See Notes (22, 26).
