- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3Z3629194AG01; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-36, effective date August 11, 2009; Defense DCN 20090728, effective date 30 July, 2009; and AFAC 2009-0803 effective date 03 August 2009. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 327390. The business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 5440. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3272. Travis AFB intends to award a purchase order for the following requirement: CLIN0001- 20 ft concrete type "k" barriers that are K-4 crash rated to provide crash protection to the flight line area. The Jersey barriers need to be a brand new, connectable end to end with a steel rod and must be capable of being moved by a forklift if needed. Barrier specs are as follows: 42 inches high, 20 ft long, 32 inches wide at the basenarrowing to 12 inches wide at the top and will be constructed of poured concrete. The surface of the concrete should be smooth to avoid being lifted should a vehicle rub against it. This type of jersey barrier is common with highway use and construction projects. Installation by the contractor is required. Barriers will be white in color or if available, red is desired.
