Description
RECOVERY PROJECT ARRA. Lighting and controls, Fort Richardson Alaska. FTR312 Title: ARRA- Replace lighting and install Controls, Bldg 750 and Bldg 784. Location: Fort Richardson, Alaska 1. Scope: Replace existing lighting with quick start lighting fixture and related controls (switches, occupancy sensors, etc) to greatly improve lighting quality and allow occupancy sensor controls to reduce electricity use. 2. Required items to be included in the project: a. Material submittals: Yes, all electrical appurtenances. b. Shop Drawings: None required. c. A hazardous analysis: Not required. d. As Builts: Yes - Provide as built corrected drawings at the completion of the project and return disk to DPW prior to final payment. e. Quality Control is required during the performance of this work. Some particulars of the job will be: 3. There are no Government Furnished Materials. 4. For Security Requirements contact Sonny Turpin at (907) 384-3915 to coordinate site access. 5. For working hour restrictions contact Sonny Turpin at (907) 384-3915 to coordinate. 6. Completion date is 90 days from the notice to proceed. The entirety of Building 750 will be involved. The plan is to remove the existing HPS luminaires and install the Hi-bay fluorescents per sheet E-2. Building 750 interior dimensions are 360' x 67'. The existing luminaires to be replaced are 120v 400w High Pressure Sodium. The luminaires are wired into existing 120v outlets in the ceiling. The circuits will remain and the new luminaires will have a 120v plug wired in. Approx. 40 new outlets will need to be provided for the additional luminaires being installed. The height to the bottom of the steel trusses is approx. 14', the height to the ceiling is approx. 21' There is a total count of 80 HPS luminaires. Electrical as-builts are un-available for the installation and wiring of the existing HPS luminaires. Switches are to be placed in a single location at the entry door near the M5 Office and wire in additional night lights at (4) additional locations by each personnel doors. Scope of Work FTR315 Title: Install Lights and Controls, Bldg 784, Fort Richardson, Alaska Replace existing lighting with quick start lighting fixtures and related controls (switches, occupancy sensors, etc.) to greatly improve lighting quality and allow occupancy sensor controls to reduce electricity use. Quality control is required. The DPW Project Manager is Mr. Sonny Turpin (384-3915). Additional project information: a. No Hazard Analysis required. b. Project Schedule: Provide a preliminary project schedule with the proposal and an updated project schedule within 14 days after award/Notice to Proceed (NTP). Task Order duration for this project shall not exceed 90 calendar days from NTP. c. See attached Submittal Control Form for list of requirements. d. There will be no Government Furnished Materials. e. Security Requirements. This building is a public facility; any specific security issues should be coordinated with the DPW Project Manager. f. Working Hour Restrictions: Normal working hours Monday through Friday 0800-1700. Any exceptions must be coordinated and approved by the DPW PM prior to project execution. g. Project Scheduling: Utility outages, work area safety exclusions, access to secure areas, and after hour work at this facility shall be coordinated and approved by the DPW Project Manager 48 hours prior to work. h. As-built drawings are required. Approved shop drawings and red-line mark-up of contract drawings reflecting accurate installation are required prior to project close-out in electronic CADD format. i. This project is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. PDF versions of building diagrams are available by contacting olen.r.northern@usace.army.mil.
