- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Description: The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans AffairsMedical Center (LSCDVAMC), 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract forthe construction project known as "Radiology Phase II." The contractorshall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to performwork under this project. The work will include but not be limited togeneral construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing, fireprotection, electrical work, utility systems, asbestos abatement,necessary removal of existing structures, construction, and certainother items. The location of the work will be at the above statedaddress. The solicitation will be issued as an "Invitation for Bid"conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluatedin accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be a100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS asdescribed in government-wide numbered note # 29. The solicitation willbe issued on or about August 24, 2009 as an invitation for bid and bidswill be due on September 22, 2009 at 10:00AM EST, in Building 3, 1stFloor, Room B145B, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. TheGovernment intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The period ofperformance shall be 510 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Thesolicitation, when issued, will include specifications and plans andshall be available for fee at Lakeside Blueprint, (216) 281-1234. Thisnotice is not a request for competitive offers. Any firm that believesit can meet the following requirement may give written notification tothe Contracting Officer no later than response due date. Responsesreceived will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Governmentnot to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
