This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Challenges must demonstrate the capability to provide a monochromator system consisting of the components and operating similar to the above listed monochromator system manufactured by the Newport Corporation. If no challenges to acquire this requirement are received by 5:30 p.m. EST on 08/25/2009, the government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
