Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Portland, Oregon, has a requirement for a contractor to supply and plant a total of 500 native riparian trees grown from material sources within the Columbia Plateau, the Northern Eastern Cascades Slopes and Foothills, or the Western Northern Rockies Ecoregions. Requirement is for the Mid-Columbia River National Wildlife Refuge Complex, Handford Reach National Monument/Saddle Mountain National Wildlife Refuge is 64 Maple Street, Burbank, WA 99323. Trees are to be grown to requisite size during the 2009/2010 growing season for planting in early 2011. Type of trees to be supplied are 50 Quaking Aspen, 100 Black cottonwood, 100 Peachleaf willow, 25 Black cottonwood, 25 Peachleaf willow and 125 Black cottonwood and 75 Peachleaf willow trees. Approximate installation date(s) will be between January 18, 2011 and March 20, 2011. All tree installations must be done by hand. This will be"best value" procurement with award based on price and confirmation of source for tree stock from the Columbia Paleau, Northern eastern Cascades Slopes and Foothills, or Western Northern Rockies Ecoregion-derived for trees to be supplies as identified under paragraph 3 of the Statement of Work. Price is significantly less important than confirmation of tree source. Solicitation number: 101819Q941 may be viewed thru a link to the National Business Center Interior Electronic Acquisition System-Electronic Commerce at "http://www.fedbizopps.gov" or "http://www.nbc.gov". No further notice will be posted on Fedbizopps. The solicitation response date will be approximately 15 days from posting date.
