Closing Date is 27 August 2009 at 2:00PM EST. *** END NOTICE *** Solicitation: Project 0700191. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. The proposed acquisition will be an Request for Proposal(RFP), which will be solicited unrestricted, full and open competition. The Period of Performance is 210 days. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-09-R-0045 NAICS CODE: 238220. Size Standard $14M The requirement is to replace the boiler and chillers in Facility 20487, Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), with a high efficiency boiler/chiller system. The USAF Museum at WPAFB, Ohio consists of three large hangers. The heating and cooling system for the middle hanger is beyond its useful life. This project will replace the gas fired boiler and water cooled chiller with new, modern high efficiency units. Prospective contractors must have experience involving large mechanical refrigeration equipment. The USAF Museum operates 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Heating/cooling must be maintained during hours of operation. Only short outages after hours will be permitted. Alternative heating/cooling must be provided by other means if necessary to prevent longer outages. The Air Force intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract with a performance period of 210 days. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. 88 CONS/PKJA, will issue solicitation, FA8601-09-R-0045, on approximately 02 July 2009 with a closing date of approximately 01 August 2009 for the acquisition. NOTES: 1. The solicitation with the official specifications and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 02 July 2009, at http://www.fbo.gov, The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 01 August 2009. The period of performance is 210 days. 2. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 6. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will not be a public opening. Sealed envelopes containing proposals shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 7. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount (base plus options). However, contractors shall only be responsible for providing bonding for the base amount plus the amount of any and all options exercised at the time of award. If an option is exercised after award, contractors shall be responsible for securing the additional bonding equal to the amount of the option. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program.
