- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Awarepoint Corporation, San Diego, CA on a sole source basis, for the purchase of additional real-time location tracking tags and temperature monitoring tags for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. These items are additional requirements that contract number W81XWH-07-P-0826 supports. A new competition of this requirement and awarding to any other manufacturer would result in substantial delays and would increase the overall cost to the government. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, solicitation W81XWH-09-T-0514 will be posted for two (2) days.
