- The purpose of this RFQ solicitation for commercial items uploaded concurrently with this synopsis is: For the Buckeye Hazardous Fuels Thinning Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) under the USFS Stewardship Authority. The project includes: Service Contract with provisions for piling of slash resulting from timber harvest; thinning, weeding and pruning as designated on the ground: Fuel rearrangement consisting of lopping of thinning slash, slash pullback on designated trees, and raking of needles and twigs for designated trees. Timber removal of Ponderosa pine which includes cutting and haul of designated Ponderosa pine; cutting and line skidding of hazard trees in camping areas and reservoir; cutting stumps to 6 inch height as designated on contract map; closing and re-vegetation of temporary roads and skid trails; fall damaged trees in units 1 and 5 and lopping of logging slash in all units. The location of this project The Proposed Buckeye Fuels Stewardship Project is located on the Moab/Monticello Ranger District approximately 11 air miles from La Sal Utah and 6 air miles from Paradox Colorado. The project includes the campground and dispersed camping sites in and around Buckeye campground and surrounding stands. The main access for the Buckeye Hazard Fuels Thinning Project is State Highway 46 to forest road 50208 to 50371 or Colorado Highway 90 to county road 371 to FSR 50371. The sale area is located within Colorado. The legal location is: T. 48 N., R. 20 W., Section 1, 2, 11 and 12, New Mexico Meridian, Montrose County, Colorado. CASCADING SET-ASIDE This solicitation is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. If we do not receive enough competition from the HUBZone small business concern set-aside, we will then evaluate quotes and consider for award small business concerns. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet via FedBizOpps (FBO). Any subsequent amendments will be posted on FBO only. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project. In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
