- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center Minneapolis,One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 anticipates soliciting quotesand consequently awarding a contract for Washer and SterilizerPreventive Maintenance. The solicitation will be conducted inaccordance with FAR part 12 (Commercial Items) and part 13 (SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures). The solicitation will be advertised as Fulland Open Competition. The contractor will provide preventivemaintenance services of washers and sterilizers for the MinneapolisVeterans Affairs Medical Center. Contract period is from October 1,2009 through September 30, 2010 with four(4) one year renewal options. Offers, including options, shall be evaluated for fair and reasonablepricing, technical competency, and satisfactory past performance. TheGovernment anticipates award of a commercial item contract to theofferor whose offer provides the best value to the Government. Thesolicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about August 17, 2009 andwill be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System athttp://www.fedbizopps.gov. The date is not firm and may change due toevents out of our control. Offerors are responsible for checking theweb site regularly to obtain amendments. Quotes will be due 30 daysafter issuance of solicitation. This notice is for informationalpurposes only and is not a request for quotations. The Government isnot required to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. Noother information is available until issuance of the solicitation.
