Description
LOADING DOCK PAVEMENT MILLING AND OVERLAY AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC) HOUSTON, TEXAS The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified paving contractors interested in providing offers for the work associated with the construction of the asphalt milling and overlay for the loading dock area located at the Houston ARTCC, 16600 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Houston, Texas. Work will consist of, but is not limited to milling 2 inches of all existing asphalt pavement at loading dock areas (approximately 8,700 SF); removal, disposal and replacement of failed asphalt and base materials (approximately 120SF), sweep/clean off existing materials of all loose, dirt, gravel debris; apply hot tack cost to existing base areas; furnish and install (3 in) of Type D Hot Mix Asphalt, roll and compact to (2 in); furnish and install painted/powder coated permanent/embedded bollards and removable bollards in accordance with the requirements. 1.Contract performance time is 60 days2.Projected date to issue solicitation is week of August 17, 20093.This procurement is set aside for Small Business4.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237310 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million.5.The dollar range for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.006.A mandatory (pre-bid) meeting will be conducted; date and time will be provided in the solicitation. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. Further information will be contained in the solicitation package.7.Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees8.Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/.9.solicitation maybe issued electronically, via email. INSTRUCTIONS TO RECEIVE SOLICITATION PACKAGE Interested firms must submit a request for the solicitation package and a listing of similar comparable projects performed over the past 3 years. You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number. You must also submit the attached Business Declaration Form. Everything must be submitted to the Contracting Officer no later than Noon on August 14, 2009. You may fax your request and attachments to (817) 222-5994, or email them to Carla.Brawley@faa.gov. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
