Description
Request for Information (RFI) RISKMANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR HOMELAND SECURITY/LAW ENFORCEMENT DUE: 14 AUGUST 2009. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Atlantic, Advanced Technology Branch (5161), is seeking information about Commercial- Off-The-Shelf (COTS) risk management software for Homeland Security/law enforcement applications that costs approximately $10,000 or less per software package. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item number for this equipment is 04AP-04-RISK (Software or systems that facilitate capture, quantification, and management of risk factors involved in specific tasks, environments, or programs). The target audience for this information is the law enforcement community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for DHS, Science & Technology (S&T) Directorate. DHS established the System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program to conduct comparative assessments and validation activities that provide the emergency responder community with information on important products and services. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow- up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Software name and a brief description. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. 6. Software information in relation to software applications, specifications, and capabilities. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects and reports. Determination as to an individual products suitability will be made by SPAWARSYSCEN, Atlantic based on the objectives of this request. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents. Submittals: Respondents are required to complete the attached product summary questionnaire (Risk_RFI_pub) for each product and submit the questionnaire following the instructions on the first page of the questionnaire. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
