- Description
- It is the Government's intention to negotiate on a sole source basis with SUTRON Corporation to provide a Antenna for Satlink Station, Lightening Protector, Xlite Datalogger and Satlink Satellite Transmitter/logger and Voice modem module. All products are under GSA contract #GS-25F-6040D. The contractor will replace the Data Collection Platform equipment for the Genesee River Basin. This equipment is essential for continued regulation of Mt. Morris Dam; flood monitoring and surveillance; emergency operations; and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. The purchase of SUTRON SatLink 2 transmitter with built-in data loggers will replace the current data collection platform network on Lake St. Clair/Detroit River and connecting Channels. Transmitters and each of their peripherals must be NOAA certified to create and maintain gauging standardization. Several Districts within the Corps of Engineers Division also have SUTRON equipment, purchasing SUTRON gages will allow us to join the existing regionalization effort currently being implemented division wide. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all submittals received by the due date of August 12, 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334513 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
