- Subject: Reactivation and Renewal of SolidWorks Licenses Purchase Request Number: NB822110-9-06103 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Manufacturing Engineering, intends to negotiate with TriMech Solutions; Columbia, MD, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, to reactivate existing SolidWorks licenses, renew SolidWorks subscription for certain seats, and to obtain a SolidWorks 2009 Network Seat in Gaithersburg, MD for the period of 09/01/2009 to 09/01/2010. Based on recent market research, Trimech Solutions is the only authorized reseller of Solidworks products and services in the local area that can provide the required licenses and related license renewals. NIST will procure the following SolidWorks products and services for this purchase: Reactivation of Existing SolidWorks Licenses for the Following: Seat ID: 108830 Seat ID: 626995 Seat ID: 638997 Seat ID: 638998 Seat ID: 457375 SolidWorks Subscription Renewal for the Following: Seat ID: 108830 Seat ID: 626995 Seat ID: 638997 Seat ID: 638998 Seat ID: 457375 One Year SolidWorks Professional Subscription Service Renewal for the following: Seat ID: 683118 SolidWorks 2009 Network Seat One Year SolidWorks Subscription Service (Initial) SolidWorks Simulation Premium 2009 Network One Year SolidWorks Simulation Premium Subscription Service (Initial) The NAICS Code is 511210 with a Size Standard of $25.0 million. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price type purchase order for a period of twelve months to TriMech Solutions for this requirement. The following Section 508 standards apply to this acquisition: 1194.21, 1194.31, and 1194.41. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST and are authorized resellers of SolidWorks products in the Gaithersburg, MD area may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
