- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood the FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement for the development of a 15KW power converter system that will convert 440VAC three-phase 60Hz delta-configured and 115VAC single-phase 60Hz delta-configured ship power into four (4) high-current 28VDC outputs in a very modular mechanical packaging scheme. The system shall also provide for local and remote operational interfaces, health monitoring, and automated failover. A firm fixed priced contract will be used for this acquisition and delivery will be 15 months after date of contract. FOB Destination to Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren, Dahlgren, VA will apply. An unrestricted Request For Proposal N00178-10-R-1001 is anticipated to be issued on or about October 1, 2009 with a closing date of 30 days after issuance. At time of solicitation a draft statement of work, item specification, mechanical interface, and electrical interface requirements will be made available to qualifying requesters. In order to qualify, requesters must submit examples of past DOD and/or Navy approved power systems.
