Will DGMC plan on using a 802.11n services if so, there are many more options than the solution depicted in the RFP. NO 6. If a problem were to happen with wireless access points or RF connectivity issues, DGMC will have to go back to the Vendor who installed the proposed solution. Is DGMC looking for only one vendor to do the survey, install and maintenance of this infrastructure? NO 7. Also would like to clarify that the SOW for this project is a survey and design only. (That is what the posted SOW is asking for) and NOT a turn key solution. THIS IS NOT A TURN KEY SOLUTION 8. The solicitation indicates that the "David Grant Medical Center (DGMC) requests a survey to design a fully engineered, broadband, passive, in-building distributed antenna system." Will the contracted vendor be required to only "survey" existing system coverage... NO 9. Will the contracted vendor be required to only "survey" existing system coverage to show dead spots, or "design" a revised system by selecting antenna sites, operating parameters, etc.? YES 10 If the DGMC requests a complete system design, to what extent of a design will be required? DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION, PLEASE BE MORE SPECIFIC 11. Will the design be limited to theoretical transmitter locations, or will it also include equipment and antenna selection, site surveys, system wiring and power requirements, etc. What will be the full scope of the requested design? DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION, PLEASE BE MORE SPECIFIC 12. The solicitation indicates that the system must be designed for the transmission of multiple radio frequency (RF) signals simultaneously covering all radio frequencies from 150 MHz to 6 GHz. Does this statement refer to a specific system distinct from the cellular, paging, and LMR systems further described in the solicitation? YES 13. If this is a distinct system, what is the broadband technology that will be employed? ANY TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME 14. What specific band(s) will it operate in? 150 MHZ - 6 GHZ 15. Is there any existing infrastructure for such a system? NO 16. What are the desired capabilities of such a system? RF COVERAGE 17. Will the vendor be responsible for performing needs assessment and selecting a technology for this system? NO 18. New Question/Answer: Will government provide the design of the distributed antenna system that bidders will use to produce the requested maps or, is it governments' intention that the bidders are to produce this new design as part of this Solicitation?
