- Description
- This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) set aside for current contract holders of BLM national IDIQ contracts for Hazardous Fuels Reduction. The specifications, term, and conditions applicable in the parent contract as well as those included in this RFQ apply to this project. The South Boundary project is located at Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Sulphur, Oklahoma includes 57 acres of treatment which includes creating a defensible space along the recreation area boundary to aid in suppressing fire entering or exiting the park to protect existing structures and property within and adjacent to the recreation area. This project will also reduce the encroachment of Eastern Red Cedar and Ash Juniper into the areas which have historically been hardwood stands and mixed grass prairie. The project time for this project is 45 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Government anticipates beginning work on this project on September 15, 2009. The solicitation along with attachments will be issued on August 5, 2009. All offerors must be CURRENT BLM IDIQ fuels reduction contract holders to qualify to submit offers. Award will be made on a fixed price basis and will be awarded to the contractor whose past performance and price are the best value to the Government. Only hard copy offer documents will be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted).
