- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Directorate of Contracting is contemplating the procurement of ten (10) each UV Canary Gas Analyzer, for chlorine monitoring, specifically configured for the detection of chlorine gas with concentration levels between 10 and 10,000 ppm (parts per million), to include rapid detection of chlorine gas, wide dynamic range to cover the concentration range specified, without the need for dilution systems, ruggedized for desert deployment, redundant data storage, data stored locally at the sensor and at remote site equipped with radio link for remote deployment, power from a generator or battery, high MMTF greater than 4000 hours, reliable detection technique based on absorption, not electrochemical. Note: This is a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cerex Monitoring Solutions, LLC., 1816 Briarwood Industrial Court, Suite D, Atlanta, GA., 30318-4241. This is for ten (10) each UV Canary Gas Analyzers. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, supplies, services and/or equipment are available from one responsible source and no other type of supplies, services and/or equipment will satisfy agency requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Supporting evidence must be furnished to demonstrate the ability to comply with the governments requirements. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ).
