- AWARD NOTICE - In accordance with FAR 5.3, and pursuant to the notice of intent synopsis published on June 26, 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy is announcing the award of a sole-source contract to Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC) for technical support for the development, design, production, testing, acceptance, and delivery of radioisotope power systems (RPS) for use in space exploration and other applications. The value of the cost plus fixed fee contract will be definitized within 180 days. The period of performance is August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2014.
