- This is a pre-solicitation notice for Chaco Culture National Historical Park to conduct a curation facilities security and fire survey. There are two purposes for the survey: 1) reveal and identify weaknesses in existing and planned protection systems, equipment, procedures, policies, and operations that could result in the loss of such curation facility resources as collections, collection records, and exhibits, as well as the structure itself and, 2) to identify alternatives to correct any weaknesses or deficiencies that may be found. The ultimate goal of performing the survey and of implementing corrective actions is protecting (Park) museum property against all forms of losses. The hope is to find a marriage of skills: expertise in security as well as museum and/or curatorial sites. The NAICS code is 561621 and the Size Standard is $12.5 M. This project is a Small Business set-aside. The Request for Quote (RFQ) expected to be posted on or around August 12, 2009 through Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) website. The full scope of work will be described in the RFQ when it is posted. All dates in this announcement are estimated and are subject to change. No other information will be available before the RFQ is posted. All interested parties are responsible for checking the FBO website to ensure that they have the most current information. Offerors are required to have a current registration on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract award. Offerors may register on CCR at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors will be required to complete representations and certifications at the time of submission of quotes.
