- The Air Force intends to make an award on a competitive small business set-aside for a SIPR-RELBackup Storage Solution, Installation and Standard maintenance/warranty. The majority of the backup storage solution equipment shall be comprised of items manufactured by small business. The contractor shall provide a backup storage solution that is compatible with COMMVAULT Galaxy Data Protection 7.1. and higher backup software. The backup storage solution shall support both Virtual Tape Library and Network Attached Storage interfaces along with multiple, simultaneous protocols. The backup solution shall have a throughput of 1 to 8 TB/hour and have retention of 90 days. The solicitation, FA2517-09-T-6059, will be available on or about 7 August 2009. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web site http://www.fbo.gov/. This requirement will be accessible to those companies deemed eligible by the information they provided when they register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) web site http://bpn.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments and other general information, will also be distributed solely through this site. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have up-to-date information about this acquisition and are encouraged to monitor and register their company on the Interested Vendor List (IVL) and Register to Receive Notifications. This is a small business set aside. The anticipated award will be Firm Fixed Priced contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334112 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees.
