Description
Attachment 03 Far Clause 52.232-33 Full Text Attachment 02 Offerors Represenatation and Certifications Attachment 01 Schedule of Items The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, Gifford Pinchot and Okanogan Wenatchee National Forests intend to award a contract for the supply of (8) eight snowmobiles. The snowmobiles are to be used by the personnel in mountainous, steep and remote terrain. The operations they are used in may require transport of additional equipment and personnel to these scenes, transport injured victims and respond to incidents with additional law enforcement personnel. The snowmobiles are to be Ski Doo brand snowmobiles or equal. Have a minimum track length of 154 inches and minimum track width of 16 inches to provide for as much snow contact as possible for stability while still maintaining a high level of versatility. The track configuration minimizes the risk of getting stuck and maximizes the versatility of the machine during critical law enforcement operations. Use for these machines will be in mountainous, non-groomed areas of the forest. Maximum weight shall not exceed 460 pounds. Law enforcement operations are conducted at all times of the day and night and in the most extreme circumstances. These operations lend themselves to the possibility of getting stuck and in potentially isolated locations where additional resources are not available. It is critical that the machine be as light as possible to increase the ability of a single rider to free the machine and minimize the potential for injury to the employee. The snowmobiles shall be delivered 60 days after receipt of order to the locations and address listed the Schedule of Items Attachment 01. Multiple awards may be made and prospective offerors are not required to submit an offer on all items. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is AG-05M6-S-09-0076 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
