- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to maintain plumbing and hot water systems and respond to emergency calls within Boston National Historical Park. The work also includes preventive Maintenance service for boilers in the Boston Historical National Park (BNHP). Buildings are located in the Charlestown Navy Yard, Bunker Hill Monument and Museum, Charlestown Boston, MA and at 15 State Street, Boston, MA. The contract period of performance will commence on October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 plus up to four additional option years, subject to the availability of funds. The contractor is responsible for Quality Control, which includes ensuring accuracy, completeness, and correctness of the work to be performed and design aspects and details, including coordination of any disciplines with others. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price contract for the preventative maintenance portion and indefinite quantity item for the emergency calls as a result of this solicitation. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 238220 and $14.0 million. Only one award shall be made. The information on where to submit bids will be in the solicitation documents. A completed bid package shall include one copy of completed SF1449, Sollicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items with original signature; completed bid schedule and completed Section K, Representations and Certifications. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible quoter whose bid will be most advantageous to the government, considering only price and price related factors included in the request for quotation. Questions concerning this request for quotation must be submitted via e:mail to ellen_barr@nps.gov. The solicitation will be issued as a total small business set-aside. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened. Paper copies of the solicitation shall not be issued but electronic copies of the solicitation will be available to download on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov)
