- Description
- The U.S. Department of the Treasury-Bureau of Engraving and Printing located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131-9000 has a need for a requirement under Project# 088030010 for the Purchase and Installation of: (1) Replacement of Two (2) existing 800 ton Chillers with two (2) new 1000 ton Units; (2) Replacement of one (1) existing 850 ton chiller; (3) Replacement of one (1) existing 550 ton chiller; (4) Replacement of five (5) vertical turbine condenser water pumps; (5) Construction of a new control room; (6) Installation of associated electrical components; (7) Coordination with existing METASYS system. The Period of Performance is one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract. Contractor shall furnish management, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment and materials, and perform work to include demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, and certain other items as required by the project drawings and specifications. Work will be performed in a factory environment which will remain operational during the project progress/completion. This is a Full and Open Competition under RFP# BEP-09-0028 and Proposals shall include a Subcontracting Plan IAW FAR 14. This acquisition will be conducted under FAR 15.101-1, Tradeoff Process where the Government may award to other than the lowest priced offeror or other than the highest technically rated offer. Soliciation documents, including technical specifications and project drawings, will be available electronically under the solicitation# BEP-09-0028 on or about Friday 21 August 2009, at the following website: www.fbo.gov The NAICS Code for this project is 238220. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Payment and Performance bonds will be required.
