- The U.S. Army Engineering & Support Center, Huntsville, has a requirement for a small business contractor is to provide course development and instructional services for Electrical QV #042 Electrical and Safety Testing course of instruction. This course provides the participant with (a) requirements and techniques of electrical quality assurance to comply with contract requirements; (b) increased knowledge of materials, equipment, installation, and quality assurance techniques; and (c) training in interpreting plans and specifications and the National Electrical Code. Topics include General Construction Topics - Orientation/overview; Electrical Work, Interior; Electrical Exterior; Grounding and Bonding; Hazardous Locations; Electrical Safety/Electrical Testing; Motors and Controllers; Fire Alarm and Mass Notification; and Putting It Together. Contractor shall provide 2-4 instructors. Instructors must be registered professional electrical engineers or have comparable background and experience in electrical inspections. Instructors must have a working knowledge of these specific topics and who is highly knowledgeable of applying USACE specifications and requirements, TMs, the NEC, and other required codes and standards to course topics. Instructors must be highly rated, experienced instructors who have been involved with instruction of PROSPECT courses. Evaluation criterion is as follows: Work Experience/Teaching Experience - Offerors shall submit a rsum or other documentation addressing work experience and teaching experience of the proposed classroom instructor(s). Education - offerors shall submit proof of the highest degree received in the form of an official transcript or diploma for the proposed classroom instructor and copy of current license or certification; Past Performance. The solicitation, including the Statement of Work, will be available on the FedBizOps (FBO) website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 6 August 2009. Paper copies of the RFP will not be available; you may download the RFP and submit your proposal as required. Once the finalized RFP is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Closing date is on or about 10 August 2009. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All offerors responding to the RFP must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov.
