- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12, using simplified acquisition procedures, to Bruker Biospin Corporation, 15 Fortune Drive, Billerica, MA 01821. Bruker Biospin is the only known source that manufactures and distributes the E-scan R Table Top Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Analyzer with computer accessories, installation and training. Bruker Biospin is the only know small business that provide the e-scan R table Top EPR Analyzer for free radical study in cigarette smoke to meet all of the requirements including cost, installation and training. CDC anticipates soliciting and awarding with only one source under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) permitting other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one know responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Bruker Biospin is the only source available to provide a product that meets mission critical requirements. No Request for Quotation will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent, Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to provide the instruments, to writing to Richard Jenkins, via email at RJenkins@cdc.gov with the reference number (2009-73587) referenced in the subject line, NO Later August 19,2009, 3:00 PM, Eastern Time.
