Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 1 each Onsite MuSES Training for two days CLIN 0002 1 each Consulting Support on Scene Generation CLIN 0003 1 each Evaluate Phase II desert model to improve MuSES target predictions. The intended delivery date for the item(s) is August 17, 2009. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to ThermoAnalytics, Inc. This firm is the sole developer of software that the US Government has already purchased. They will evaluate the collected field data against the current models. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 and the Business Size Standard is $27.0 million (for Military Weapons). All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Time, Monday, August 10, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
