- Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition The USDA Forest Service, National Forests in FL intends to award a sole source contract for short term, temporary management support services on an as-needed basis on the Ocala National Forest, Lake and Marion Counties, FL. Proposed contractor is George Hemingway, Umatilla, FL. This announcement is for information purposes only. The required services are to provide professional and technical expertise and assistance in support of management of special use authorizations and other Forest Service lands issues including Rodman Reservoir, Camp Ocala and Silver Glen Springs. The proposed contractor is a retired Forest Service employee with current expert knowledge and specialised experience and skills needed to perform the required services, and is thoroughly familiar with Forest Service regulations, policies, procedures, facilities, systems, programs and critical points of contact. Services are required on a temporary, as-needed basis for approximately 3-6 months. Amount of award is $15,000.
