- The Coatesville VA Medical Center 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA., intends to award this contract for generator maintenance and load bank testing services. The solicitation will be available ON or ABOUT August 10, 2009 to the Federal Business Opportunity Website.Notice of Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns: (a) the proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Offers or proposals from other than small business concerns will be considered as back-up only. Statement of Work Emergency Generators Generator maintenance and load bank testing services are to be provided for the following generators. Generator maintenance will be conducted prior to load bank testing to allow time to correct any deficiencies identified (11generators). Located at VA Medical Center campus located at 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road Coatesville, PA 19320. Load bank testing to meet Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO requirements 25% of the name plate rating for 30 minutes 50% of the name plate rating for 30 minutes 75% of the name plate rating for 1 hour 30% of the name plate rating for 2 1/2 hours Total 4 '/2 hour load bank test for each generator Provide 2 copies of all load bank testing reports to the General Properties Supervisor. Generator Maintenance Fiscal Year 10-1-09 thru 9-30-10 Work to be completed prior to 1-30-10 Work to be performed between the hours of 8am thru 4:30pm Monday thru Friday Maintenance on the generators listed above. Timing to be checked and set if necessary Equipment to be lubricated Oil and oil filters changed Fuel tanks and fuel lines to be inspected for excessive sludge, rust, water or deterioration fuel filters to be changed, sediment bowls cleaned Inspect entire units for fuel and water leaks Provide 2 copies of all recommended maintenance required to he completed prior to the load bank testing that is not required by this contract to the General Properties Supervisor.
