- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract, on a sole source basis, to Woodward HRT, 25200 W. Rye Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355-1204. This acquisition is for the procurement of V-22 Aircraft flight-critical Depot Units Under Test. To be procured: Quantity 2, Aerial Retractable Refueling Probe Control Module, Part Number 41012410-101; Quantity 2, Manifold Assembly Valve, Rotor Positioning Unit, Part Number 41010212-102; Quantity 2, Hydraulic Power Drive Unit, Back Up, Part Number 42555-52. Woodward HRT is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the equipment, and their parts are the only parts that have been qualified and tested, and meet the V-22 Aircraft tolerances. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Reasonable Source”, therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. The procured parts will be delivered to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey 08733. Delivery of components shall be no later than December 2010, however, early delivery is acceptable. A determination not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Numbered Note 22 applies to this procurement.
