- Description
- The Duchesne River angler access corridor has been acquired and developed by the United States as partial mitigation for impacts of the Bonneville Unit, Central Utah Project, on aquatic and riparian habitats and associated low-impact recreational uses, such as angling. Providing public access to the Duchesne River corridor requires construction of a driveway/access off of State Road Highway 35 (S.R. 35) near Hanna, Utah; and construction of an adjacent parking area on United States lands. The driveway needs to be paved at the junction with existing S.R. 35, and for a distance of 50 feet from the edge of S.R. 35 onto the access road/driveway. The intersection is off a State of Utah-regulated highway. The selected Contractor is responsible for constructing the intersection according to Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) standards. Designs have been prepared by the Government's professional engineer who meets the approval of UDOT. Contractor is responsible for verifying United States-obtained required permits from UDOT and for compliance with all inspection and other standards as determined by UDOT. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. There will be a pre-award site visit on Thursday, August 13th, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting place will be Hanna Cafe, Highway 35, Hanna, Utah. This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on progress of the project is required. Solicitation No. R09PS40R02 will be issued on or about August 3, 2009, and will be available for downloading directly from the following website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The date for receipt of quotes is August 21, 2009. This solicitation will be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded on or about August 25, 2009. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is: 238990; the small business size standard is $14 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by this agency. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award.
