Postal Service, is preparing to advertise for proposals for the subject project at: MELBOURNE, FL – SATELLITE BEACH BRANCH Solicitation No.: 123125-09-A-0065Location of Facilities: 210 S Patrick Avenue, Melbourne, FL Construction Features: This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of alternate quarter's postal facility located in an existing structure at the Satellite Beach, Melbourne, FL containing approximately 8,060 sq ft of combined floor space. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, steel frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, modified bitumen roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Contractors will be evaluated based on references showing similar construction experience. Contractors must have an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) of less than 1.0 to be considered. Cost range: $1,150,000 - $1,500,000 Const. time: 100 calendar days. A PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE WILL BE AUGUST 17, 2009 AT 11:00 AM AT THE FACILITY. Minimum Years in Business: Your company must have been in business, under the firm’s present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. You must have a Florida general contractor license. Financial Capability: The successful offeror must demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance as required by this solicitation. Financial capability includes the offeror’s satisfactory working relationship with a financial institute and surety agency. Capacity/Resources: The successful offeror must demonstrate sufficient in-house resources to successfully complete a minimum of 12% of the work before subcontracting when considering their present workload. Provide an organizational chart. Identify and provide a resume for persons, who will be assigned to this contract. EMR (Experience Modification Ratio): Must be less than 1.0 to be considered.
