Description
The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has a requirement for replacement feedback electronics (FBE) assemblies for use with existing Streckeisen STS-1 seismometers operated in the Global Seismographic Network (GSN). These assemblies will be used to upgrade existing seismic stations. These assemblies must be existing, upgraded, or improved versions of models which can be purchased "off-the-shelf" and of a type or types that have been utilized in previous deployments for periods of not less than six (6) months. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the internet on or about 10 August 2009. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). A formal solicitation, statement of work, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time. This requirement is being issued as full and open competition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. There is not an incumbent contractor. The procurement is anticipated to include a period of performance of twelve months from the date of contract award and one 12-month option period. The Government anticipates ordering approximately 50 assemblies over the two-year life of the contract, including the one-year option. Delivery orders will be issued on a firm, fixed-price basis. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by the resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract. All questions and concerns may be submitted to the Contracts Specialist via email at atrang@usgs.gov. (ATN# ARRA-SE0002F, TAS 14 0803)
