- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement action is for desing build services to develop detailed design/construction documents, construction cost estimates, construction phasing schedule, construction services, and as-built drawings for the project titled: OPA PHARMACY CHEMO COMPOUNDING ROOM RENOVATION. The project contemplates the complete renovation of the existing OPA pharmacy chemo compounding room in order to comply with the latest USP 797 regulation/code. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by 3:00 P. M. America/Puerto Rico, August 17, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
