- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled STAR-CCM+License. You are notifiedthat the following changes are made: Additional requirements addedThe due date for responses is extended.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/DFRC Business Opportunitieshome page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=24 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation andany amendments. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy ofthe solicitation and amendments (if any).NASA/DFRC has a requirement for annual power session of STAR-CCM+ and serial STAR-CCM+license.The specifications are:(1)(QTY 2) unit STAR-CCM+ /Power Session Floating License(2)(Qty 2) unit STAR-CCM+ /Design Floating License(3)(Qty 1) unit STAR-CCM+ ProE reader floating licenseNASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from CD-Adapco. This is an annual license renewaland CD-Adapco is the originator and only source available for these licenses. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and 13.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon August 14, 2009. CD-Adapco quote is due no later than COB August 21, 2009.Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination bythe Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are NOT acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
