- Description
- The Cincinnati VAMC has a requirement for Project # 539-09-102 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 3200 Vine Street, Building 1, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220. Design shall follow the VA Design Criteria. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, licenses and supervision for Project. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing storm and sanitary piping and hangers, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the replacement of storm and sanitary piping located in the sub-basement level of Building #1. The construction and design is based on the work being completed in phases to limit disruption to building operations. Work requiring shutdowns shall be performed after hours and shall be coordinated with the Contacting Officers Technical Representative. The Contractor will provide, at their costs, all temporary piping and connections required to complete their work. Every effort has been made to identify existing conditions where piping is located; all piping is to be removed no matter what the actual condition. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The opportunity is available only to contractors under public law 109-461 and 38 USC 8127. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB contractor is required to perform a minimum of 15% of the construction work on the project. This does not include paperwork, submittals, etc. THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 14.408-1(a) (3), to that responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors. Do not send questions to this notice. Questions will be accepted after the solicitation has been published. Solicitation documents, including specifications and preliminary drawings, will be available electronically on or about August 18, 2009, at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. HOWEVER, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. One Hundred and Twenty (120) day bid acceptance period will be required. A pre-proposal conference shall be held at a date, time, and location to be provided in the solicitation. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Offerors must be listed in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov, currently registered in Central Contractor Registration, www.ccr.gov, and have completed online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million.
