- This project will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the act. In 2008, we hired a contractor to evaluate the Stehekin Landing fuel system and associated monitoring system, pumps, piping, etc. This contract will implement the report's recommendations to bring the system into compliance with state regulations. Specifically, this project corrects identified deficiencies and suggests upgrades to improve the Stehekin Landing unleaded fuel system. The system consists of one (1) 6,000 gal. underground unleaded fuel tank, monitoring system, two (2) fuel pumps (one on land and one on the dock) and all associated piping. A site visit is recommended prior to submitting your offer. All work will be performed under a single Firm-Fixed Price construction contract subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: The Stehekin Landing area of Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is located at the head of Lake Chelan, 55 miles from the town of Chelan, WA. The project site is at the marina and nearby lands at Stehekin, Washington. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 238290 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past three years. The electronic Request for Proposals will be available on approximately August 11, 2009, at www.fbo.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov. In order to download the solicitation, interested vendors must register at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the NBC internet site for any posted changes to the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. Prior to award the successful offeror must establish and/or maintain an active registration at http://www.ccr.gov and complete the online representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov.
