- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Northern Fleet, Refinishers, a Division of Bob Services of Anchorage, Alaska, as a result of having the only access in the delivery and transporting of huge oversized equipment for overhaul. Delivery of this equipment for refurbishment would otherwise require an oversized vehicle permit, escorts with pilot cars, and restrictive movement until after 1900 hours for transporting across Alaska roads. Northern Fleet will prep, sand, and paint 36 each broom heads, blower heads, and rollovers for snow removal equipment. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is 7 Aug 2009. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 6 Aug 2009 at 4 pm Alaska Standard Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The closing date for this Synopsis is 6 Aug 2009 at 4:00 PM Alaska Standard Time.
