- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to nexAir LLC, 3496 Peachtree Parkway, Suwanee, GA 30024, for two MVE Model 1839 liquid nitrogen full-auto freezers specially made for CDC. These freezers have a special controller device that was designed for the CDC by nexAir, which controller allows for real-time monitoring via computer by means of software designed specifically for the task and already in use at CDC. In addition, the freezers have a bypass temp probe in the fill line to detect overfill situations. Any new freezers must be compatible with the remote access monitoring system in service. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
