- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Dental Hygienist services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful contractor qualifications include: Completion of an Accredited Dental Hygienist Program and maintain Dental Radiology and Anesthesia Certifications. Quoters shall include with their solicitation packet verification of the qualifications. It is estimated that contract will include seven (7) sessions per day, four days per week excluding federal holidays. A session is defined as one hour in duration and the estimated total sessions per year is 1456. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base year with four 12 month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about August 18, 2009 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 22, 2009 however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 - Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621399 and the applicable size standard is $7.0 million. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. In the original synopsis, the number of estimated sessions per year for Dental Hygienist services was listed as 1,456. The estimated number of sessions per year for Dental Hygienist services is hereby changed to 1,372. Potential quoters should refer to the solicitation (SF-1449-Block #8) for the actual quotation deadlines. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. This modification maintains all the terms of the original synopsis excluding the change in the number of estimated sessions. Please ensure your compliance with the terms when providing a quote.
